In the 9th grade, a friend kept coming to school in these gorgeous fair isle sweaters and I asked her where she got them, and so many! She casually responded, "Oh, my dad knits them for me." She connected me with him and thus began my experience of knitting. It's been an off again-on again thing throughout my life of being busy raising children, working, etc. A couple of years ago I picked it up, again!, and encountered a huge learning curve with all the new and different yarns and new and different techniques. It's challenging, but I am enjoying it and it gives me something to do some evenings in front of the TV rather than feel like I'm wasting time. :-)Judi A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09618310997994024137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3174247364848518816.post-23388349122731236732011-04-04T09:47:47.704+00:002011-04-04T09:47:47.704+00:00Hi Judi.

With comments like your who wouldn't feel encouraged to continue blogging?

I hadn't noticed the lion head and bear body!

Knitting actually kept my sanity, I can tell you that, hehe.

Med school: finished. When I moved to Iceland things were a bit shaky but things are back on track and I am now: working in the health care field + studying icelandic + knitting as much as time allows.

Thanks again for your comment again!

One question: do you knit?RodPrjónarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15078316065512574287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3174247364848518816.post-30638428895316598972011-04-03T21:04:04.259+00:002011-04-03T21:04:04.259+00:00In three postings you have captured my attention a...In three postings you have captured my attention and know I will be reading every one, as much as possible. Love your photos - that last one looks like a lion's head on a big black bear's body. Sure would love to see it all in person, but thank you for making it possible long distance:-)

Wow, you have been a prolific knitter in the last couple of years! Knitting is a wonderful time filler, enabler of keeping our sanity, and giver of great personal satisfication. Since I don't know you personally, I was wondering what happened to med school and is health care the field you are in now? Don't know how that works in other countries. By the way, thanks for posting in English! :-)Judi A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09618310997994024137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3174247364848518816.post-67375011026571067532011-04-03T12:21:33.531+00:002011-04-03T12:21:33.531+00:00: )
