Who are the lucky ones!? / ¿Quiénes son l@s afortunad@s?

I can hardly believe that two weeks have already passed! I must apologize for this long absence. These two weeks have been pretty crazy with lots of things to do, both at work and at home. I tried to reply to most of the comments... I still have a few to reply.  But here I am now to reveal where the presents will be going!

¡Me cuesta creer que ya hayan pasado dos semanas! Pido disculpas por tan largo silencio, aunque he tintentado contestar a todos los comentarios que me han dejar (todavía tengo algunos pendientes). Han sido dos semanas un poco locas, con muchas cosas que hacer tanto en casa como en el trabajo. Pero bueno, ¡ya estoy aquí para revelar dónde se irán los regalos! 

Before announcing anything I wanted to thank everybody for all the messages and good birthday wishes. I must admit that I was REALLY surprised to see how many comments I got! I wasn't expecting such a big response! :)

Antes de anunciar a los ganadores del sorteo quiero agradecer a todos lor los mensajes y buenos deseos cumpleañeros. ¡Me he llevado una muy grata sorpresa al ver cuántas visitas y comentarios he recibido! La verdad es que no esperaba una respuesta tan grande como la que recibí :)

In order to do this I assigned a number to each comment (if someone commented more than once only one of the comments got a number). The total number of comments was 94!!!!. To choose the number I used a Random Number Generator on the iPad.

Para realizar el sorteo, a cada comentario recibido le asigné un número (si alguien comentó más de una vez sólo uno de sus comentarios fue numerado). El número total de comentarios fue ¡¡¡¡94!!!! Para escoger los números ganadores utilicé un Generador de números aleatorio en el iPad.

Today, right after work I went to visit my favorite wool shop in Iceland, Handprjón.is, both to check some new books they got and to visit my friends Drífa and Helga who work there. The shop is ultra cozy and full of great yarn and books! They also have a corner with a sofa and chairs where we spent most of the afternoon talking and knitting (well, I was actually learning some tips from them to crochet more efficiently... crocheting... that is something I HAVE to talk about in a future soon-to-come new post). 

Hoy, después del trabajo fui a visitar mi tienda de lanas favorita en Islandia, Handprjón.is, para ver unos libros nuevos que trajeron y además para visitar a mis amigas Drífa y Helga que trabajan allí. La tienda es súper acogedora y llena de lanas muy bonitas y libros. Además tienen una rincón muy cómodo con un sillón y sillas, donde pasamos casi toda la tarde conversando y tejiendo (bueno, en realidad las chicas me estuvieron enseñando algunos trucos para hacer ganchillo más eficientemente... esto es algo de lo que DEBO hablar en una entrada muy pronto).

The thing is that I told Drífa and Helga that I was holding this Birthday Give Away and when I was about to go home (because it was already time for them to close the shop) Drífa gave me a skein of Australian Merino Wool Lace Weight to add as a 3rd prize!! How generous is that!? 

La cosa es que les conté a Drífa y Helga que estaba celebrando el cumpleaños de mi blog dando algunos regalos. Cuando estaba a punto de irme a casa (porque ya estaban por cerrar la tienda) ¡Drífa me dio una madeja de lana merino australiana para tejer chales para agregar como 3er premio! ¡Qué gesto más generoso! ¿No?

Blog Birthday Give Away / Sorteo de cumpleaños del blog

A few days ago, on March 29th, my blog became ONE YEAR OLD! Yes! It has been one year already since my first post here!

Hace unos días, el 29 de marzo, ¡mi blog estuvo de cumpleaños! ¡Ya tiene un año! Sí, ha pasado ya un año desde que escribí la primera entrada.

I still remember how difficult it was to decide to open a blog. I was somehow afraid of not been able to keep up with it, that I would be boring and nobody would read it!

Todavía me acuerdo cuánto me costó decidirme a empezar a escribir. Esta lleno de dudas y especialmente temor. Me asustaba un poco la idea de no ser capaz de mantenerlo o que sería aburrido o que nadie lo leería.

All I can say is that this has been one of the most interesting experiences of the last year! I have gotten to know so many wonderful persons, really generous people which are a constant reminder that the world is FULL of good people everywhere!

Ahora, lo único que puedo decir es que ha sido una de las experiencias más interesantes del último año. He conocido gente maravillosa, personas muy generosas que se han convertido en un recordatorio constante del hecho que el mundo SÍ está lleno de gente buena.

So, in order to celebrate this important date and as a way to thank everybody who has been there with me in this blogging journey I decided to give some things away :)

Entonces, para celebrar este día tan importante y, a la vez, como una manera de decir gracias a tod@s l@s que me han acompañando en este viaje bloguero he decidido hacer algunos regalos.

The first gift is the last shawl I finished, the Rock Island. As I mentioned in the last post I needed to find someone to give it to... and this is the best way to find someone! Isn't it?

El primer regalo es el último chal que he terminado, el Rock Island. Como mencioné en la última entrada, tejí este chal sin tener claro para quién sería. Así que esta es la mejor manera de encontrar a alguien ¿no? :)

The second present is a minilopapeysa keyring and two skeins of lopi in colors that the winner will have to choose :)

El segundo regalo es un llavero minilopapeysa y dos madejas de lopi cuyos colores serán escogidos por el/la ganador@.

Easy. If you want to take part of this give away just post a comment on this post (just one comment per person).  After two weeks (that means on Monday 16th) I will assign a number to each comment and I will draw two of them. The first one will get the shawl and the second one the keyring.
