I am finally posting!! / ¡¡Al fin escribo una entrada!!

 Ufff! How time flies!! It has been already a little bit more than one month since my last post here!! It has been so difficult to go back to the daily routine! But here I am again!! hehe

¡¡Ufff!! ¡Cómo pasa el tiempo! ¡Ya ha pasado algo más de un mes desde que escribí la última entrada! Ha sido tan difícil volver a retomar la rutina diaria! Pero bueno... aquí estoy nuevamente, jeje.

I have so much to say that I don't even know where to start! Well, I guess I won't say too much since images can say much more that words, right?

Tengo muchísimas cosas que contar y no sé por dónde empezar. La verdad es que creo que no diré mucho, pues seguro que las fotos hablarán por sí solas. 

September was a wonderful month: I visited amazing places, spent time with my great friends Laura and Jesús (and Lola, their dog!), ate great food and met new friends!!

Septiembre fue un mes increíble: Visité lugares preciosos, pasé mucho tiempo con mis queridísimos amigoa Laura y Jesús (y su perrita Lola), comí excelente comida  sobretodo hice nuevos amigos!

Before starting with the pictures there is something that I MUST say... While We were in the airport in Keflavík when we were starting out trip something really funny happened... funny in the best possible way.

Antes de comenzar con las fotos hay una cosa que DEBO contar. Mientras estábamos en el aeropuerto en Keflavík, cuando estábamos comenzando nuestro viaje, pasó algo muy divertido... divertido en el mejor sentido posible, claro está. 

We were at the bank to exchange some money when the woman who was working there suddenly looked at me and, to my surprise, told me: "Are you not my favorite knitter!?"

Estábamos en el banco, cambiando monedas cuando la mujer que nos estaba atendiendo de pronto levanta la cabeza, me mira y me dice: "¿Es que no eres tú mi tejedor favorito?"

I must admit that it REALLY took me by surprise!! So much that all I did was to BLUSH!! I didn't even ask her name!! Silly me! So if you are reading this I just want to THANK YOU and tell you that you REALLY BRIGHTEN up my day! I couldn't stop smiling for several hours just remembering this amazing moment you gave me!!

Debo admitir que REALMENTE me tomó por sorpresa. Tanto que en realidad lo único que hice fue ¡¡ponerme colorado como un tomate!! Ni siquiera se me ocurrió preguntarle su nombre... vaya qué tonto fui. Bueno, sólo quería decirle a ella MUCHAS GRACIAS y hacerle saber que REALMENTE iluminó mi día. No puede quitarme la sonrisa de la casa por un buen par de horas :)

Playa de Guadamía. Just anonther beautiful beach. Beaches in Asturias are wonderful... and the best of all is that they are all quite hidden, there is only green and green and more green around them. Unfortunately the tide was too low so we had to move to another one.

Playa de Guadamía. Otra playa preciosa. Las playas en Asturias son una maravilla... lo mejor de todo es que están todas bien escondidas y con mucho, mucho, mucho verde en torno a ellas. Desafortunadamente la marea estaba muy baja así que nos tuvimos que ir a otra playa.

Not everything was just beaches and caves... we also knitted! Here I am finishing a collar that I started in the airplane (It was so much fun to see people´s faces when they saw that Gummi and me were crocheting in the plane! A guy even took pictures of us, both in the airplane and once we arrived to see how much we had done!).

No todo fue sólo mar, arena, cuevas... también tejimos!! Aquí estoy terminanando un cuello que empecé en el avión (Fue muy divertido ver la reacción de la gente en el avión cuando veían que Gummi y yo estábamos haciendo ganchillo. Un tío incluso nos sacó fotos... en el avión y cuando llegamos para ver cuánto habíamos avanzado!)

Then we began our journey to Barcelona... The reason to stop there for a couple of days was to meet a fantastic group of knitters, Teixicomanes, that knit together regularly at Llanarium.

Luego comenzamos nuestro viaje a Barcelona. El motivo por el que paramos allí por dos días fue para juntarnos y conocer al fin en persona a un grupo FANTÁSTICO de tejedores, Teixicomanes, que se reunen regularmente para tejer juntos en una tienda muy chula que se llama Llanarium.

In September last year we organized a KAL on Ravelry in which we knitted a lopapeysa together. Now, the idea was to start a lopapeysa all together! Great idea, isn't it?!

En septiembre del año pasado organizamos un KAL en Ravelry para tejer un lopapeysa todos juntos. La idea ahora era repetir la experiencia pero esta vez empezando todos juntos! Qué gran idea, ¿no?

Llanarium. A really cool wool shop very close to Plaza Cataluña. If you are around please give it a visit... and if you are lucky enough you might end up knitting with a wonderful group of knitters!

Marga e Imma spent a whole day with us!! Here we are at Mercado La Boquería. Imma and Marga were so kind so spend time with us!!

The coolest ice cream shop I have ever seen! And it didn´t only looked good... it was also REALLY good.
La heladería más guay que he visitado. Y no sólo tenía buena pinta, sino que además el helado estaba buenísimo!

I must come back to Barcelona some time soon... two days is too little time to spend in such a great city... besides I now have a lot more than one reason to visit again!

Volver a Barcelona esta en mi lista de cosas por hacer... con prioridad. Dos días no fueron suficientes para nada. Lo bueno es que tengo mucho más que un motivo para volver!! :)

And finally, of course I didn't come home with my hands empty...

Laura showed us a little shop in Llanes where we found this really AMAZING cotton thread. The colors are beautiful as well as the price (only 2.50 euros each). And it also has a funny name: V.I.C. (Very Important Cotton).

Laura nos enseñó en Llanes una tienda muy chiquita donde encontramos este algodón que es una pasada! Los colores son preciosos... al igual que el precio (2.50 euros cada madeja). 

On our short visit to Oviedo I met Mayte (the winner of the shawl!)  She gave me this AMAZING book!!!
En una visita corta que hicimos a Oviedo me junté con Mayte (La ganadora del chal!). Me regaló este FANTÁSTICO libro!

Imma gave a mini Haruni that she knitted using cotton thread for crocheting!! Yes! It is so fine and delicate! A piece of art!

Imma me regaló una mini Haruni que tejió usando hilo de algodón para hacer ganchillos! Sí!! Es tan fino y delicado! Una verdadera obra de arte!

And as any piece of art... it is now framed and always on display at home :)

Greta and the fibers... great yarns... great colors... and everything handmade! Marga is making a great, great, great work! I totally recommend this yarns!!

Greta and the Fibers... son unas lanas espectaculares, los colores son un sueño y además todo teñido a mano! Marga está haciendo un excelente trabajo con sus landas! Las recomiendo a ojos cerrados.

I saw that Laia, the owner of Llanarium was knitting an Echo Flower using this yarn and it was looking SERIOUSLY beautiful!! So, I got a couple of skeins :)
Vi que Laia, la dueña de Llanarium, estaba tejiendo un Echo Flower usando esta lana y le está quedando SERIAMENTE hermoso! Así que me compré un par de madejas!

Merkén! Who would have said that I was going to come back home with something so typical chilean! Candela gave me this... a real treasure (that tasted great by the way!)

Quién diría que volvería a casa con algo tan típico chileno! Candela me regaló merkén... un verdadero tesoro (que además sabe muy bien!!!)

So these were my vacations... more or less. All I can say now is THANK YOU everybody for everything!! Especially to Laura and Jesús for their loving friendship and the Teixicomanes for being so warm and welcoming!!

Bueno, estas fueron, más o menos, mis vacaciones. Sólo me queda dar las GRACIAS a todos por todo. Especialmente a Laura y Jesús por su infinita amistad y a los teixicomanes por su generosidad y por habernos recibido tan calurosamente :)
